Our history
Prestwood Methodist Church has stood in the High Street for over 150 years.
In the early 1970s there were plans to demolish the existing church and rebuild in a modern style set back further from the roadway. Although a new hall was built at the rear of the premises, further rebuild work was cancelled other than to move the front door away from the carriageway and onto the side of the tower.
In 2013 the current entrance with glass doors was installed, improving access into the premises.
